  41. Ummm, You don't want to pick/use 28800 as a setting for a program! Even if
  42. that's the top speed of your modem.  Use 38.4.  You have to use the correct
  43. setting, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600.  NOT 28800!  I use 38400 myself for my
  44. 33.6K top speed modem.  For both the Amiga and Shapeshifter, it's just fine.
  45. If your downloading a lot of un-commpressed files and your using V.42bis Data
  46. commpression or MNP-5 Data commpression then a higher setting is needed, at
  47. least 57600.  The Amiga's Stock Serial port has problems with anything over
  48. 38.4K  in MOST cases, unless you have a Zorro card with Serial ports that your
  49. using, or If your using a Graphics Card that takes a load off the Amiga's
  50. processor, you can get a higher setting and not have data overflow, getting a
  51. lot of resends and just making the file transfer take longer then if you where
  52. just set at 38.4k.  A 040/060 processor can also allow a higher setting, but a
  53. serial port with a uart chip is much much better.
